# Orders on hold

> Control hold behavior for unresolved address issues, including hold triggers, auto-release, and hold reason values.

## Orders on hold settings

Use this tab to pause fulfillment while address issues are unresolved.

## How to configure

1. Open **Settings**.
2. Open **Orders on hold**.
3. Turn hold behavior on.
4. Choose whether to set hold on unresolved issues.
5. Choose whether to auto-release after correction.
6. Define your hold reasons.
7. Click **Save settings**.

## Controls explained

* **Set hold when unresolved issue is detected**
* **Auto-release hold after correction**
* **Hold reasons**: custom values your team can track
