I turned on in-checkout validation, but I do not see it in checkout. Why?

Check Shopify Settings > Checkout > Checkout rules and confirm AddressPill Checkout Validation is turned on.

Post-checkout is enabled, but nothing appears on Thank You page.

Open Shopify theme editor and make sure the AddressPill app block is added to both:
  • Thank you
  • Order status
Then save theme changes.

Should I start with warning mode or block mode?

Start with warning mode first. After you verify behavior in your store, move important rules to block mode.

Which settings matter most for new stores?

Start with:
  1. Require house number
  2. Duplicate name check
  3. Post-checkout correction window
  4. Basic order tagging
Then add holds and advanced automations.

Why was an order tagged or put on hold?

This comes from your configured Tag orders and Orders on hold settings.
